Often strengthening your core, exercising regularly, and stretching can help resolve this. If the pain persists after exercising and physical therapy, you might want to rewind MRI to look forward more uncommon causes of back pain. If you are having weakness, numbness, difficulty with bowel or bladder control, then you should be seen again as soon as possible.

Chronic "pain killers" eventuate in tolerance over time, with declining benefit. Physical therapy can help stabilize and instruct in McKenzie Back Exercises. Swimming is also helpful. Try to avoid a back brace or external support devices.

Agree that CORE strengthening is first treatment option. Physical therapy, heat, massage for the back. MRI may be warranted if the back pain continues. Other causes of back pain, such as abdominal sources like kidney, or other, may be worth evaluating. Depending on if you have any additional symptoms
