I had my nose cauterized 6 weeks ago for frequent nose bleeds. after 3 weeks it felt back to normal. yesterday, it started bleeding again for the time since the cautery, and it has been tender for the past 24 hrs. is this normal? will it heal again?

Tenderness is not normal but it is unlikely to be related to the cautery procedure. You may apply a small amount of an emollient, like vaseline, to the opening of the nose. Use the emollient sparingly to avoid inhaling it. That should make the affected are more supple and may prevent nose bleeds. Wish you good health!
