A member asked:

Is ear infection treatable without tubes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You get the most from this site when you provide detailed information about the issue involved followed by a clear related question. Most random ear infections can be treated with an antibiotic if deemed bacterial (not viral). In infants & toddlers an infection that has not cleared in 90 days with multiple meds or has recurred 6X in a year is often best managed with tubes.
