How do i know if i have a sinus infection or chronic sinusitis or rhinositis?

Fever and discolored (not clear) nasal drainage suggest bacterial infection. Sinus pressure and pain suggests that the infection has settled in the sinus. Viral infection and allergies can present with clear drainage.
