A member asked:

I've been taking simethicone, for a while, to help with excess gas(burping) and bloating. i'm still dealing with it regularly and have only seen minor improvements. should i consider seeing if it's something more serious? if so, what could it be?

Simethicone is just a fancy soap like product that helps gas bubbles come together & be expelled easier. The gas produced by digestion depends on the types of food /fluids you consume. digestive & gut germ action. A diet diary can be used to identify foods that make you gassy so you can avoid them. A checkup and review of the problem can confirm or exclude other issues.
