Get checked: Sometimes your doctor will prescribe different acid reflux medications. Should symptoms persist an endoscope may be recommended to make sure you do not have ulcers or bacteria causing your symptoms. The other red flag is whether you are having heart symptoms mimicking acid reflux. I would recommend seeing a doctor immediately or going to the emergency room.
