All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, if your LDL is 216, it is very high and you need to consult a doctor, preferably a cardiologist. You may need to lose weight, change diet and take medication. Wish you good health!

If this LDL was a fasting result, it's quite high; it merits treatment with a statin medication with the goal of lowering LDL to 70 or less, if one is healthy without other cardiovascular risk factors. In diabetics or persons with known cardiovascular disease, or other cardiovascular risk factors, more aggressive LDL reduction is advisable, perhaps aiming for an LDL of 40 or less.
