A member asked:

Yes, does having a lipid panel of total cholesterol 227, hdl 76, triglycerides 79 and ldl 135 constitute having a bad heart? are these bad results?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That's pretty good.: While your LDL could afford to be a bit lower (< 100 to be really good), your HDL is really high, which is very heart-protective, and your triglycerides are in an acceptable range. Your total is high in part because your HDL is so high, which is a good thing. But again, the LDL could afford to be a bit lower.
