In todays us hypervascular thyroid nodule 9x8mm which is hypoechoic and internal vascularity remained the same as 2 months ago. they told me that they keep checking it for 2 years. it can be something during this time? after 2 years it will be safe?

They do serial ultrasounds when the nodule is this small to see if it begins growing. If it begins growing, they can then biopsy it. But, if it never grows, after 2 years, by definition, it would be benign (malignant tumors begin growing in that time). Typically, they do the ultrasounds fairly frequently and then begin spacing them out a bit if there is no growth. Hopefully, it will prove benign!
