The thyroid gland is diffusely heterogeneous and hypervascular. there are multiple small hypoechoic/mixed cystic and solid nodules in the thyroid gland, largest measuring 6 mm on the right. what does this mean? is it serious?

Ask the physician who ordered the thyroid scan about a radioactive iodine uptake test to determine whether any of the nodules are "cold" nodules, which may require biopsy.
