Presume you were diagnosed by a neurologist. There are many preventative medications which are successfully used in migraine. If your doctor can keep you from experiencing the event, you will not need to worry about compromized function. Discuss choices with your neurologist.

It is important to have your physician write a letter explaining your condition for your employer to have. This can be helpful in informing them about your condition and if something does happen at work, they will be aware. It is important to be on the right medications so that you can prevent some of these episodes.
