22 yr old, very healthy girlfriend has "sporadic hemiplegic migraines" and had her 1st seizure today--lasted 3 minutes. that normal for her condition?

Co-morbidity: Complex migraine events can rarely be associated with small strokes, especially if bcp's and smoking are added. Even a small brain lesion could act as a focus and result in a seizure. Would carefully review MRI of brain, to see if stroke has occurred, and consider anti-epileptic med. Work closely with your neurologist, as she is complex and needs comprehensive approach.

Nope. Go to the ER: Seizure activity is never a "normal" side effect of a chronic headache condition. She needs to get evaluated asap. It might be the meds she is on, or other metabolic problems (low sugar, potassium, etc).
