Dad had iron transfusion for anemia.Blood work now Ferritin 760.8.high tibc 240 low, T protein normal,globulin 4.4 high. albumin normal. Confused. ?
Hemoglobin 11.6 (reference 12-16), hematocrit 36.8 (ref 37-47), rion 130 (ref 37-145), ferritin 14 (ref 13-150) - do these results indicate anemia? If so how much iron should I be taking? Other results like full blood count are within normal range.
Low heamaglobin (and all corresponding red blood cell tests) but normal iron and ferritin. what can cause this? is this anemia or something else?

What would cause low ferritin (13 last yr, now 9) if RBC indices are normal & so is iron panel? Thyroid ok. I take IM B12 for pernicious anemia. 28f
