Cats can pass infectious agents such as staphylococcus aureus, campylobacteriosis or pasteurella bacteria into your body. You should go to an Urgent Care Center or Emergency Room for an exam as soon as possible. You could need intravenous antibiotics or you may even need to be hospitalized if you are seriously infected. I wish you well with your health!

Get into your doctor today or go to the ER. Cat bites will get infected 90% of the time and always with Pasteurella Multicides. You need a specific antibiotic, Augmentin. Don't wait to get treated and if you haven't had a tetanus shot in the last 5 years you need that too. Don't wait, go now.
