Go To Doctor NOW: Staph infections are getting worse across the known world. These red lesions are staph until proven otherwise. They should not just be watched. They need to be examined and treated. Please take your son to his pediatrician urgently.

Ice, antihistamine: The best solution is for you to put cold packs/ice packs on the swollen areas and administer oral antihistamines such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to help settle the allergic reaction. Topical (creams on the skin) products do not work very well.

Neosporin: If not allergic to any medicine, please use neosporin cream and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) liquid, if not better in 1-2 days, please show it your pediatrician.
