You could have strained a muscle or have a belly button hernia. Best to get checked.

This is most likely related to muscle soreness in the rectus abdominis, the muscles that run vertically down the anterior abdominal wall and are utilized in sit-ups. Abdominal muscles recover quickly, and I would expect this to resolve within a few days. If symptoms persists, then I agree a small hernia is in the differential.
