For 2-3 yrs i have had random excruciating belly button pain. sometimes when i press on the area with my fingers it hurts worse. it feels like im being stabbed. its been worse the last couple mos. happens most often when i need to urinate or i eat.

The doctor may order some blood and urine tests, and may order an abdominal scan such as an ultrasound scan to look inside the belly. The scan also sees the kidneys, ureters, and bladder.
