get a new cat

There is evidence that animals can detect some diseases and there is ongoing research with dogs, but this sounds like normal cat behavior. There are certainly stories where something was noticed because of the behavior of a pet, for instance a breast lump noticed after a cat rubbed up against it, but this in no way proves that THE CAT actually noticed anything. Association is not causation.
