Yes, of course: Stress can lead to poor sleep, weight gain, irritability, tension, anxiety, and depression. It can increase risk of stroke & heart attack. In certain brain regions, it can shrink gray matter tied to emotion and physiological functions. Being bullied as kids can lead to shorter telomeres -- signs of premature aging. There's also a connection between anxiety about life stresses and chronic illness.
