It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Thyroiditis could have caused hypothyroidism that may result in brain fog. It would be prudent to see a doctor for thyroid function tests to ascertain if you need thyroid replacement medication. Wish you good health!

First, have an endocrinologist help stabilize thyroid function and then give it several weeks. In almost all cases of euthyroid stability, the brain fog will recede. If this fails, see a neurologist to ascertain value of memory enhancing drugs or meds which help focus and alertness. Also, make certain that your sleep has returned to normal.
