Lipo vs chin implant: Depending on the cause of your "weak jawline", there are different surgical options. It is difficult to tell from your picture, but if there is any fatty tissue present, sometimes simply submental and neck liposuction is effective. Alternatively, if your chin is weak, a small chin implant can be placed in addition to liposuction, it should only be done by a board certified plastic surgeon.

Jawline correction: Jawlines and chins can be temporarily augmented with dermal fillers like Radiesse or hyaluronic acid fillers like perlane. For more permanent solution implants that can be used. The most important thing is to choose a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist with experience in chin/jaw augmentation. Ask for before/after photos. Speak to several doctors first. It's an important decision.

Implants/fillers: A small mandible (jaw bone) can be safely and permanently treated with chin and angle of jaw implants. Chin is by far the most common and very satisfying to my patients. Some patients like to "try it on" and fillers (juvederm and radiesse) are great temporary solution. I prefer to utilize computer imaging prior to any treatment to allow my patients to visualize realistic goals before committing.

Weak jaw line: Complaints of a weak jaw line should be evaluated by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon . Often the result of incoordinate growth of the jaws and position of the teeth, they require expert evaluation and management. Cosmetic procedures (chin or other implants, etc) for such complaints advocated to attempt to "mask" or "hide" the underlying jaw position problem, often result in unhappy patients.
