Time for a check-up: Sounds like it's time to get a check-up. 20 years is a long time and something may have changed. Arthritis is very common after joint injuries, but a consultation will give you answers.

Complex: After 20 years it is unlikely that there is any complication of the surgery. Now that being said, there is always an increased likelihood of arthritis in areas after trauma and repair. But there are many other possibilities. The best is to see a local surgeon or check with your primary care md who can then direct you further.
