A member asked:

My sons sleeping heartbeat has been in the 80s instead of the 60s for about a week.. his daytime "resting" heartbeat is in the 80s and 90s.. is hjs sleeping heart changing so suddenly a concern?

The answer may be inadequate because there is no background information of your son, and why his heart rate is being monitored; however dreaming or nightmares could affect sleeping heart rate apart from other things. If he is awake and normal and nothing different like having fever or ill, it may just be that you monitor it a little longer or you could ask your son about if has dreams or anxious.

Not a concern. His body is going through many changes at that age, and this is still a normal heart rate.
