A member asked:

Hgb was 14.4 10 days before, after 10 days it is 13.4. does it seem any problem with these values? is this decline from 14.4 to 13.4 in 10 days normal? my doctor didn't see a problem but i want to get a second opinion?

Context will be needed in order to comment on blood work. While both values are still normal, the slight drop cannot be explained out of clinical context and is not enough for a pattern.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the change could be due to a change in the state of hydration. You may request a repeat test in a month or so. Wish you good health!
