Can weight lifting cause pericarditis? i've been hospitalized twice this summer for pericarditis and i suspect two mild events in feb and april. each episode has begun on a friday and i've been following the same weekly exercise routine since january?

In 63 years of medicine I have never heard of this. And cannot think of a way it would. But it could cause musculoskeletal rib pains that might be similar to the pain. Did they hear 3 component friction rub over your heart? How did they confirm the DX?

Hi. I was diagnosed with mild pericarditis in February. I take Colchicine and Ibuprofen and still have stabbing chest pain. LDL: 115, Non-HDL Cholesterol : 133, Hs-CRP: 9, Apo B : 105, Apo B/A1 ratio: 0.83 and IgE: 519. What might be the cause?
