A member asked:

My ana profile blood test..the control (co) is 68 what is that means? ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Caution: By itself, the ANA means very little. It is only a useful test if the clinical picture suggests an autoimmune disease such as lupus. However, there are a plethora of reasons the ANA may be positive. Too often, it is mistakenly done as a screening test for generalized symptoms such fatigue or body aches.
