Can bacteria from feet be transferred on floor especially if the person was a senior and fell a lot and had diabetic sores?

I always assume the foot transfers any bacteria present to any site it comes in contact with. Many will die of after a few hours if there is no moisture or other material to sustain them. Some germs can tolerate simple drying and survive for quite a while.
