A member asked:

In 2017 i was told to take b-12 for a deficiency. i just noticed after reviewing my medical tests that i've been h for the last two years. my dr said to stop l taking it. i've always been told you pee out extra. so why does my test say high?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

How high? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped had you provided the actual value. Excess intake of B12 and chronic inflammation are usual causes of high B12. Wish you good health!
