My son was diagnosed with mono today last week he lifted a heavy nightstand i am scared that maybe he caused a spleen issue without us knowing. dr felt spleen today said it didnt feel enlarged could it just be festering?

Spleen rupture is a rare complication of mono if one has splenomegaly (enlarged spleen) and engages in a full contact sports or suffers other abdominal trauma. Splenomegaly does not happent in all mono infections but maybe half of them.
