Fluid buildup?: what are you talking about? what fluid buildup? where,?how long? associated symptoms? abdominal pain ( left upper abdomen?. Exercise is usually discouraged during the first week-10 days of mononucleosis,to prevent splenic rupture. Fluid buildup?- not so much.
