These sound like canker sores(also known as aphthous ulcers).Often they are triggered by stress and hormones. Many women get them with their periods, which would go along with a monthly history. Please speak with your doctor about possible treatments.Your dentist also may know about the latest treatments.Unfortunately, as we don’t know the exact cause, there is no definitive cure, but there is help!

Another possible reason for multiple, reoccurring, aphthous ulcerations is Crohn’s Disease. This is a serious digestive issue, but it can be treated with diet and medication. If your ulcerations are also accompanied by any belly pain and/or diarrhea, then I would have your internist refer you to a Gastroenerologist for an evaluation.
