Some basics: For now your main goal is fluids to keep her hydrated. If she can pee every 8 hrs you can avoid needing an IV. A mixture of half/half diphenhydramine (benedryl) and Milk of magnesia can be used to numb the sores, 1 tsp swish/swallow or painted on with an earbud will help, given every 6 hrs. Chilled applesauce, ice chips or milk can help.Avoid citrus juices & dry food until she feels better.
