I have a bulging vein from the stomach down to bottom center(urine bladder) near the groin after minimally mitral valve repair surgery. had an ultrasound, echograph and ct scan and 3 doctors looked at it but, no one could say or even give me an ans.?

Best to rely on local Drs who are used to looking at bellies of folks like you. They will know what looks normal there as well as the causes of this where you live. May be normal if you have lost weight or are very thin.

Prominent veins are frequent over the abdominal wall and do not necessarily indicate an abnormality. However, if you had mitral valve surgery, you should get the opinion of the cardiologist familiar with your heart problem. If there is distension of many veins in the abdominal wall and the neck, it is important that your cardiologist examine you. Good luck.
