A member asked:

My brother (26), suffering from constant facial pain for over a year now. he went to many doctors, but no progress. he's been checked for deviated nasal septum, teeth, trigeminal neuralgia; all turned out negative. pain killers don't help?

A few thoughts: 1. TMJ issues, seek out specialized dentist 2. Occult sinus inflammation or infection 3. Unusual neuralgias such as sphenopalatine, vidian, etc. Re. meds, maybe more successful using gabapentin or Lyrica?

Would recommend that your brother see a specialist Neurologist, a specialist Endodontist, and a specialist Oral Surgeon. There are many reasons for facial pain including, but not limited to impacted wisdom teeth, abscessed teeth, Bell's Palsy, pernicious habits, neoplasms, Temporomandibular joint dysfunction, malocclusion, etc.
