Never heard that one. Assume it's an old wives tale. apply this test: Ask everyone you know if they have ever had water to drink while they are standing. Then ask each one that said yes if they have ever had kidney damage that their Physician said was due to drinking water while standing. I would venture to say that the answer will be none.
