Possible stone: It is possible that you have developed a kidney stone that is causing some irritation when you are more dehydrated. See a urologist to get urine checked and possibly some imaging to clarify the situation. In the meantime, work on more fluid intake

WATER KIDNEY PAIN: I specialize in kidney disease and recommend a 2nd opinion to be able to help more with your problem. I cannot think of a reasonable reason for not drinking enough water would make your left kidney irritated. I suppose if you have a very large kidney stone and you get dehydrated the urine in your upper calyx might not shield the kidney from the stone irritation. But far out.
