Should a dr do surgery on a patient that has pneumonia is septic has a bone infection and that is having trouble breathing?

What surgery? There is always a risk benefit ratio to be considered. If not performing surgery would result in certain death and surgery has a likelihood of preventing death or serious harm, then surgery would be justified.

Definitely not an optimal candidate for surgery. In such cases, surgery is performed as emergency only when believed that without surgery the patient does not stand a chance. Prognosis remains extremely poor with or without surgery for such patients.
