Pain: Bone infections are localized processes which cause pain to area effected. This weahens the bone causing pain at the site of infection. Usually pain worsens with weight bearing or fracture develops.

The primary signs and symptoms of osteomyelitis include fever or chills, irritability or lethargy in young kids, pain in the area where the infection is, and swelling, warmth and redness over the area of the infection.
