Hi doctors. i have a kidney anemia question please. bloodwork results are: rbc 4.52 hematocrit 38.4 hemoglobin 13.7 creatinine 1.37. egfr 55. please let me know your opinion of these results.are they bad?. my dr wants to do a kidney sonogram...why?

Your creat. and BUN are elevated indicative kidney problem and your MD wants to investigate why. Next time an MD orders a test do not hesitate to ask him for the reasons.

Agree with Dr. Tandan. Your eGFR suggests early kidney disease and it would be imperative to ascertain the cause and address the issue.
