A normal dentist or specialist can check occlusion and joint function ?

Normal dentist can check and sometimes even treat these things. If they can't, will refer you either to orthodontist or an oral surgeon, depending on what the problem is. I would start with dentist first....

All Dentists are trained in evaluation and management of occlusion and joint function. If you have a malocclusion, see an Orthodontist for an Initial (usually free) Orthodontic Examination. If yo have Temporomandibular joint issues, your General Dentist can direct you to the appropriate specialist for evaluation and treatment.
