This description is more consistent with sciatica as opposed to a diabetic neuropathy. Go to your primary care doctor or neurologist. There are many causes of sciatica. It could be a vertebrate problem or a simple as a limb length difference in your extremities

I have never had a patient with Diabetic neuropathy in one foot. Your symptoms are not neuropathy.
