I got chest pain with the first pfizer covid-19 vaccine. i'm afraid something more serious can happen with the second dose. i'm between jobs--can't afford to go to a hospital. i don't have previous heart problems, thoughts?

Can’t be certain, of course, but muscle pain quite common after this and many other vaccines. If chest pain slightly worse with taking a deep breath, it’s likely muscle pain or pleurisy. Take 2 ibuprofen a few hours before next dose but definitely get it.

The risks associated with COVID 19 are significant for unvaccinated individuals, even n your age group. The second dose is recommended, and if you have any Curr symptoms, please see your physician.

I too urge completion of vaccine sequence as protection is highly enhanced by second jab. At age 32 yrs., do not feel that your chest pain was cardiac in origin. Since you appear to have had a reaction with initial jab, stay at facility for observation for at least 60-90 minutes afterwards.
