Had a chilli curry meal 11 days after surgery for inguinal hernia repair and felt unwell with tightness in abdomen then diarrhoea . was that too early after surgery? i am a 75 yr old male?

You need to ask your UK Dr and tell them the heat you selected for the Chilli curry. Probably no problem unless you vomited or retched while or after eating. Your Dr will know more about what to expect in men like you they have operated on for this who also eat chilli curry of unknown heat. I do not.
