Good question. Theoretically, yes, MRI can raise body temperature slightly. The information I've found says that in some have experienced slight increase in body temp., just under 1 degree celsius in 1.5 Tesla magnets and up to 1 degree celsius in 3 Tesla magnets. One study in children under anesthesia showed slight decrease due to anesthesia. The small temperature fluxes do not appear harmful
