Prometrium or any progesterone analog is a statistically successful contraceptive, and Nexplanon implants or the "minipill" (containing NO estrogen) may be a good compromise for birth control w/o using oral BCP's. The pregnancy rate is only slightly less than oral contraceptive pills with estrogen/progesterone components.
