I am prescribed phentermine and i just failed a ua for amphetemine. the nurse said the phentermine could cause a false+ so they sent it off. will they be able to tell it's my phentermine and nothing else? i sure hope so?

Phentermine is associated with false positives for Amphetamines. A blood level showing specific levels of phentermine consistent with your prescription and no other amphetamines will clear you for the false positive.

Screening tests are known to have false positives. You could ask for mass spectrometry confirmatory test.
