A member asked:

What are all of the major differences between petechiae and a cherry angioma?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A cherry angioma is a benign growth of tiny blood vessels(capillaries). They don't clear up or disappear. Petichiae form from leakage of blood from tiny blood vessels, gradually fade and clear up completely after several days. There are various causes of petchiae.
