Submand swelling post root canal for abscess on molar (4 mo) will not subside took amox any other treatments that can help with swelling? ultrasound did not offer any info other than swelling/possible increased bloodflow 2 colds since procedure also?

I would have that problematic tooth evaluated by an endodontist (root canal specialist). There may be a residual infection or even a fracture or accessory canal. Continual use of antibiotics will not resolve the issue.

YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED A RETREATMENT SINCE INFECTION IS STILL PRESENT. YOU WANT TO SAVE THE TOOTH SO CLEANING IT OUT AGAIN SHOULD HELP.
