Lymph nodes are definitely present in the armpit area. They serve as filters for bodily fluids and change in size depending on how much filtering they have to do. If the lymph node is getting smaller and remains movable that is a good sign. When lymph nodes get larger and do not change in size it is best to see your doctor for further evaluation.

You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
