Continue following: It is more likely than not that the enlarged lymph node is benign. Unilateral lymph-node enlargement can be caused by a myriad of things that can stimulate the immune system such as animal scratch, a puncture wound in that hand or arm while gardening, a skin irritation on the arm or chest wall on that side. I recommend that you continue to let your doctor follow-up with you as he recommends.

It depends on the Si: Enlarged lymph nodes in the arm pit can be of concern if their size is >1 cm and you are feeling more than one. You can either get a second opinion from a surgeon or monitor the size of the nodes yourself for another 4-6 weeks. if they are getting bigger in size, then you must visit a physician whom you trust(first one or the second opinion Doc).

Follow up: I assume that your health care provider examined the skin of you arm and lateral chest for any signs of infection. The very least that should happen in a recheck . Some "shoddy" nodes are not typically concerning , but there are more serious things that this can be an early sign of ( lymphomas, etc). It is not a large chance , but not something you want to miss..
